Superiorities
Patient Safety
TiTaMED not only provides low profile spinal instrumentation for regular use, but also superior strength screws for the modern generation partaking in extreme sporting activities.
The combination of the top loading, low profile and round screw head work together to reduce trauma inflicted on the patient during surgery.
Service
TiTaMED prides itself on its friendly and efficient service and support, and will go the extra mile in helping surgeons and patients.
With its experience, knowledge and expertise, Ti-TaMED is able to produce customized solutions for surgeons to accomodate specific surgical requirements.
Cost Savings
TiTaMED manufactures its Spinal System in its factory in Cape Town, South Africa. Due to the exchange rate, the TiTaMED Spinal System can therefore be a cost effective solution while still being of the highest quality (with CE and FDA approval).
Ease of removal
TiTaMED instrumentation is specifically designed to cause the least possible trauma to the patient in case of any future need to remove the instruments. It is quick and easy for the surgeon to remove the screws due to their circular shape and top loading design.
Footprint Comparison
Rectangular footprints can be deceiving. The initial perception of a rectangular screw head is that it seems to be smaller when compared to a circular screw head.
However upon insertion or removal a rectangular screw head has a circular foot print: As the screw is inserted or removed, it revolves around the central axis of the screw shank; thus creating a circular footprint circumscribing the rectangular screw head with a diameter of the furthest distance between 2 of its corners.
The black lines running across the screws represent the outer dimensions of the Ti-TaMED screw. The solid yellow represents the Ti-TaMED screw footprint, while the red circle represents the larger footprint of a small rectangular screw head.
